Ron Johnson, my husband and I have been partnered for 35 years and married for 10 years. Loreto is our full time home- no summers off for us! It has been our home for 8 years now. Like many others we made Loreto our home for a myriad of reasons, the beauty of its environment (both land and sea), its proximity and ease of access, but most importantly its people and culture. During our journey of establishing Loreto as our home we have also made the most incredible friends. We are lucky to have gotten to know and become great friends with our fellow "foodies" here, Dave and DeeDee. Suffice it to say we love Loreto and it is our "forever" home.
It is kind of strange that we have gained reputations as "chefs" here in Loreto. The idea of Ron as a chef is really not so funny. He has always had a interest and skill in cooking- including working at various dining establishments in the US prior to his career in legal/software. Me, not so much.... until moving to Loreto my careers in education and banking kept me busy. Now cooking and entertaining are our true passion. It is odd not finding that real passion until we are in our 60's, but we are loving it now!
